Teaspoon CD again
Teaspoon CD again
Our Computer Society of India (CSI) has graciously put up an article
about my "teaspoon" CD, in their July 2006 issue of
CSI-Communications. Thank you CSI.
As a result, many of you have taken notice of my CD (5 years after it
was published) and have started enquiring about its availability now.
Better late than never.
I am now updating this 5-year old CD. I also noticed a few inadvertent
errors in the CD. One such irritant is the fact that some hyperlinks
do NOT work. This is because some file names have changed from lower
case to upper case mysteriously. Hyphens (-) have become underscores
(_). Not all files are affected though. It will take afew months form
to bring out a defect-free version.
Till then, if you really want it, you can get this CD in an
"as-is-where-is" basis. All the contents are there. All the promsied
files are there on the CD. It is just that some links do not work. You
can go to the specific file and open it directly through your browser.
Moreover, those of you who use Microsoft still (I pity you), you can
open many files, since MS is case-insensitive. It is insensitive to
many things, but that is a different story.
If you order this defective CD, you get another CD free. The bonus CD
will help to launch you into the wonderful world of Linux. It is a
great way to step into Linux. It also contains plenty of information
on Linux and plenty of manuals and documentation which would be useful
for a beginner. You can freely copy the CD and give it to all your
friends, colleagues, and students (if you are a teacher, like me).
This is a limited-time offer.
So, hurry up and send a mail to drpartha@gmail.com
